Callum with a lamb

Year 5 &6 went down to Sidings Farm to see some of the new arrivals. We saw a Dexter calf, some Jacob lambs, chicks, ducks, geese and goats. On the day of our arrival, Mr Renwick thought it was time for the lambs to be taken out of the lambing shed and put outside into the field – Grace volunteered to help, by carrying the lamb into his new home:

“Taking the lamb outside was an amazing but scary experience. The lamb had very fluffy wool but was quite noisy. The mummy sheep were charging and the lamb was wriggling. When I finally put the lamb down it ran freely. It was an amazing experience.” Grace C, Year 5private-school-cambridge-farm-visit-www.whitehallschool.com
