On Friday 23rd March, Whitehall School celebrated Sports Relief by taking part in a variety of activities relating to homelessness, immunisation, refugees and education to raise awareness, and money, for those around the world who are less fortunate than us. We finished the day off with a whole school trip to the field where we ran laps, helping those younger than us and thinking of the different ways we could move around the field. Some of us crawled, sprinted, skipped and even did the hula-hula!

Below are sentences written by the children about their experiences from the day and what they learned.

Reception

We have learnt how raising money can help people who are homeless or who are refugees. We built dens to help us understand that some people don’t have homes. In our moving we learnt ways to move and we really enjoyed running and jumping.
