Key Stage Two
In Key Stage Two, each year group is taught by a class teacher with input from specialist teachers in French, music and PE.
In addition to the subjects studied at Key Stage One, our junior classes also have French, verbal reasoning and drama sessions. ICT skills are taught during weekly sessions and applied across the curriculum. Educational visits and trips are planned to enhance the children’s learning and each year group has the opportunity to participate in a residential experience.
Close monitoring of progress is achieved through a programme of regular assessments. Parents receive updates of their children’s progress via termly reports and twice yearly consultation evenings.
Whitehall School prepares pupils for entry tests to independent secondary schools and has a good record of success, including many Scholarships. Children also take the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum tests (SATs).
